PPC1000R

Low Cost Automation safety press control  (resolver based)

PPC1000R safety press control
 Standard 14" x 12" x 8" enclosure.
Custom sizes available to your specifications.

SAFE, RELIABLE and VERSATILE

The CIECO PPC1000R resolver based safety press control meets or exceeds ANSI B11.1, B11.16 (MPIF#47), B11.19, OSHA 1910.217 and CSA Z142.02 regulations including control reliability.  The control is self-checking with dual logic controllers that constantly check each other for proper operation and component failure.

Although we supply standard packages, all CIECO controls can be provided in any size box with additional hardware as needed. From complete turn-key systems with motor controls to just a few extra buttons for ancillary functions, we can make it to your specifications. Tell us what you need and we can provide a package that perfectly fits your application.

Optional Features

  • ICB - Independent Clutch and Brake Control: option provides additional safety outputs needed for large presses (like forging presses) with independently controlled clutch and brake. Additional outputs are provided for a second safety valve with a programmable timing function to prevent undo wear on the clutch/brake.

  • Auto Single Stroke mode: Used to allow an external device to initiate a single stroke of the press. Proper guarding in accordance with OSHA 1910.217 must be in place to operate safely.

  • Continuous On Demand mode: Used to allow an external device to T-stop the press to allow for material feeding to catch up then start stroking in continuous again.  Proper guarding in accordance with OSHA 1910.217 must be in place to operate safely.

  • SwifTrip mode: Can dramatically increase hand fed operations. SwifTrip mode functions in conjunction with light curtains allowing the operator to trip the press with a single button. A touch button is mounted on the safe side of the light curtain in a convenient location so as to allow the operator to touch the button as he is removing his hand from the die area. The press will make one stroke and top stop allowing the operator to remove a part and insert another before he starts the cycle again.

  • Custom Fault Messages: Spare fault inputs can be assigned with names relevant to your application.

  • Extra Stop Inputs: Additional T-Stop or Immediate stop inputs can be added.

  • Custom layout: Different sized enclosures such as consoles with specified key-switches and buttons. In most cases custom enclosure layouts do NOT incur additional engineering charges.

  • Motor Controls: Complete turn-key systems with motor controls and other hardware relevant to your application.
